A source for every tip
We never write “experts say”. We write who says it and why.
our story
January 2023, minus three degrees and four-month-old Zoe. Julia said “the thin one is fine”, Kuba insisted on the thick one, and grandma added a scarf over the phone. The walk never happened, but that evening the first sketch of Parento did.
Julia is a digital product designer and Kuba is a developer. Looking for an answer to a simple question, “how many layers?”, they found forums, conflicting advice and charts without sources. So they set out to build a tool that answers clearly and is honest about where the answer comes from.
From day one we have worked with midwives, paediatricians and babywearing consultants. Every suggestion in the app has an author and a source. When guidelines change, we update it within a week.
A spreadsheet of temperatures and layers, tested on Zoe and friends’ children.
Midwives join the team. The TOG chart and packing list are born.
Parento hits the app stores. Grandma mode takes over family group chats.
The AI assistant launches and the app learns English. 84,000 families on board.
Germany and Czechia. And grandad mode, because grandads keep asking.
We never write “experts say”. We write who says it and why.
Parents have had enough fear. We speak calmly, clearly and without exclamation marks.
No ads and no selling data. We earn from subscriptions and that will not change.
We design for mums, dads, grandparents and nannies. Everyone should know what to do.
We work at the Koneser complex in Praga, Warsaw. Parents with little ones are always welcome: we have a changing table, a feeding corner and a stash of snacks.
